Sareh Nabi

I am a Research Scientist at Amazon. My research interests lie in advancing our understanding and uncovering the fundamental principles across both artificial intelligence and natural sciences, using techniques such as reinforcement learning (RL), multi-agent RL, deep learning, and language models (LMs). I am also interested in applying these techniques to solve real-world complex problems.

I completed my postdoctoral research under Dr. Lihong Li’s supervision in September 2023 as part of the Early Career Scientist Program, launched by Amazon Ads in 2021. My postdoc research focused on leveraging multi-agent RL and LLMs to innovate and enhance Amazon's advertising solutions. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, I worked as an Applied Research Scientist at Microsoft, where I integrated machine learning solutions with Dynamics 365 business applications.

I earned my Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Washington in 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Hamed Mamani and co-advised by Dr. Houssam Nassif. My doctoral research focused on the applications of contextual bandits in dynamic pricing and online advertising. I hold master's degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Simon Fraser University in Canada and earned my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. My master's research focused on modeling biological aggregations using partial differential equations.
